JGIA Welcomes New Faces and a New Chair

01 December 2017

There have been some big changes to the JGIA family recently. We are very pleased to announce the arrival of two new team members, Srima McQuillan and David Rak. David joins us as our Accountant and has an extensive background in finance and management with companies such as Laerdal, GlaxoSmithKline and Tupperware. He enjoys golfing and is a CPA. Srima is our new COO and also had broad management and operations experience, gained through her time with Lendlease, the Olson Company and World Bank. Though originally from California, Srima now loves sharing the Aussie lifestyle with her young family. Welcome Srima and David!

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that we also have a new Chair of the JGIA Board. We are of course very sad to say goodbye to Paul Smith as Chair, but are buoyed by the fact that he will continue on with a role at JGI Global. We would like to thank and acknowledge Paul’s leadership over the past five years and his immense contribution to the growth and development of JGIA. Meanwhile we are thrilled to announce Simon Duffy as our new Board Chair. Simon has been a JGIA Director for three years and a JGI supporter for 20 years, having first met Jane in 1997. He is also a passionate supporter of wildlife and young people. He is a strong leader and environmental advocate, and we know that he will be a wonderful asset for JGIA. Congratulations Simon!
